Hello Kitty is hugely popular amongst girls of ALL ages, this fictional Character produced by the Japanese company Sanrio was first designed by Yuko Shimizu in 1974 in Japan. The character's first appearance on an item, a vinyl coin purse, was then brought to the United States in 1976.

Several celebrities such as Mariah Carey, Paris Hilton and Kimora Lee Simmons have also adopted Hello Kitty as a fashion statement and continue to support the brand for its work with UNICEF and Children.
