{"id":3617,"date":"2010-10-10T09:00:56","date_gmt":"2010-10-10T08:00:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/midastouch.goldgenie.com\/?p=3617"},"modified":"2010-10-10T09:00:56","modified_gmt":"2010-10-10T08:00:56","slug":"gold-spikes-on-same-old-story","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.goldgenie.com\/blog\/gold-spikes-on-same-old-story\/","title":{"rendered":"Gold Spikes on &quot;Same Old Story&quot;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>From Adrian Ash<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-top: 1.4em;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bullionvault.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">BullionVault<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-top: 1.4em;\"><strong>As US Sheds Jobs, Fed Accused of Spurring &#8220;Currency War&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-top: 1.4em;\"><strong>THE PRICE OF GOLD<\/strong> in wholesale dealing jumped against the Dollar at the start of New York trade on Friday after the Bureau for Labor Studies said US payrolls shed 95,000 jobs in September.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-top: 1.4em;\">Earlier hitting a 3-session low beneath $1326 per ounce, the gold price had already recovered to $1335 before spiking \u2013 briefly \u2013 above $1340 on the news.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-top: 1.4em;\">&#8220;The daily chart shows $1320 is an important pivot,&#8221; reckons Russell Browne at Scotia Mocatta, &#8220;followed by this week&#8217;s low of $1312.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-top: 1.4em;\">&#8220;A lower close [on Friday] will trigger selling of the metal from shorter-term traders.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-top: 1.4em;\">&#8220;Consolidation is coming,&#8221; a Hong Kong dealer agreed to Reuters earlier.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-top: 1.4em;\">&#8220;We&#8217;ve been expecting some correction for some time&#8230;But the bullish trend [in <a href=\"http:\/\/gold.bullionvault.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">gold<\/a>] is still here.
