This year I shunned the idea of going out to observe some half decent firework display in the cold, in favour of watching some of the greatest firework displays ever created from the comfort of my sofa, courtesy of You Tube!<\/p>\n

Earlier this year the opening ceremony of the Shanghai 2010 Expo made it\u2019s mark in history with a rather long but spectacular firework display:<\/p>\n

But, when it came to the opening of the \u00a31 billion Atlantis The Palm hotel in Dubai no expense was spared. The debut of the hotel situated on the man-made island Palm Jumeirah, was attended by a string of \u2018A\u2019 listers and the opening party alone cost a pocket tearing \u00a313.5 million and that extravaganza included this firework display:<\/p>\n

So next year unless I am being taken to what is promised to be one of the best firework displays the world has ever seen, I will be staying in the and comfort of my home, feet up doing exactly what I did this year!<\/p>\n
