No doubt diehard Blackberry fans will love it, but if you\u2019re not sure; read on to learn the pros and cons of the latest phone to come out fighting in the ultra-competitive smartphone market.<\/p>\n

Popularised by business types all over the globe, it seems unlikely that Blackberry will ever depart considerably from the sleek and black design that dominates the majority of their phones. There\u2019s good reason for that, as the Q10 looks and feels great. No complaints in that regard.<\/p>\n

Display<\/h2>\n

In the past, one of Blackberry\u2019s biggest selling points was the QWERTY keyboard that offers users the option of actually typing on a physical keyboard. So far in the \u201810\u2019 series this QWERTY keyboard has been absent, but as you can see, it has made a return for the Q10. There\u2019s not much to say about the keyboard \u2013 you either like it or you don\u2019t \u2013 but it is worth noting that it does cut down the screen size; so if you\u2019re planning on watching many movies on your phone then that should be taken into consideration. The screen itself is impressive \u2013 it offers a 3.1-inch SuperAMOLED display.<\/p>\n

Functionality<\/h2>\n

The good news is that Q10 performs considerably better than its predecessor. The Q10 is definitely the fastest Blackberry yet, and competes well with the other smartphone giants on the market. It also offers an easy and hassle-free way to transfer all your data via the Blackberry Link software. The battery life is fairly standard and generally equals most smartphones currently on the market, but it should get you through the day even if you are using it quite a lot.<\/p>\n

Drawbacks<\/h2>\n

One of the big changes with the Q10 is that emails and messages are no longer regarded as \u2018Blackberry services\u2019, which means that they will now come out of your data allowance. In terms of usability, fans of the Blackberry may be disappointed that the Q10 doesn\u2019t offer a one-button dial facility, and despite the camera being an 8.1 megapixel one, it\u2019s no great shakes in comparison to other phones on the market. Perhaps the biggest drawback is the price, but if you like Blackberry then you like Blackberry and that\u2019s something worth paying for.<\/p>\n

The Q10 is Blackberry\u2019s best phone yet (it recently became the fastest selling phone in Selfridges history), and a return to the QWERTY keyboard may well see many of their previous customers return. Still the standard in business, the Blackberry Q10 will appeal to a particular market and should do well in that particular bracket.<\/p>\n
