It’s that time of year… Glastonbury is here!

It’s finally the weekend of the pinnacle of festivals – Glastobury and hoards will be making their way to the fields of Somerset today as festivities commence.  The starfilled line-up includes several unmissable acts such as Florence and the Machine, Kanye West, Pharell Williams, The Who, Rudimental, Alt-J… Too many to list! And with the weather forecast painting a rain free (okay not COMPLETELY rain free but people will be grateful for the “brief shower or two” described by Accuweather come Sunday morning!) weekend, the festival will not be its typecast mud bath.

Glastobury has got us thinking of luxurious ways to go camping… Glamping, the act of glamorous camping, is now an official word of the 21st Century (see Oxford Dictionaries here!) and involves all sorts of plush draped fabrics and luxury yurts tee pees and makeshift cabins.  Of course if Goldgenie were at Glastobury our tent would have to be gold.  Something like this little photoshopped scene…!  We would have to make our own because gold tents and tee pees are not readily available but as gold customisation is our speciality, it is a challenge we would welcome.  Watch this space…!

In the meantime, we will be listening to BBC’s live Glastonbury stream through our Gold plated sound accessories and dream up our Gold tent to bring to Glastonbury next year!
